Dreamers @ Reading and Leeds Festival

The L.A.-via Brooklyn trio, Dreamers headed to the U.K. to play sets at both Reading and Leeds Festival. Here they give us a behind the scenes insight of how it all went down.

“We played Reading on the first day of the festival, which also happened to be in record heat for England. Fresh off of a summer tour back at home, we were prepared. We’d also be playing under a giant red tent, out of the sun. The festival staff was accommodating and brought us to our trailer backstage. The fridge was stocked with tequila and a bunch of flavored Pellegrino waters – a substitute for La Croix that doesn’t exist on this side of the Atlantic.”
“It was hard to guess what the crowd would be like for our first show in the UK. All insecurities were washed away by the welcoming sea of fans, who sang along to every song in the set.”
“After the show, we were ushered off to the press area for some interviews. To get there, we had to cross the entire festival grounds. It was a crazy labyrinth full of stumbling kids, bright red like lobsters from the sun. We probably made it into the background of hundreds of selfies. Not much different from our American festivals!”
“The next day we drove 4 hours north to Leeds. This time, we played under a tent that looked a lot like Cirque Du Soleil. Both festivals are nearly identical aside from their regional accents. This experience was amazing and the warm reception from our British fans has only fueled the desire to return and give the UK a proper full tour.”
