A Day In The Life: Lunar Vacation

I’m finishing up my final semester of college right now which has been one of the busiest times of my life – 18 credit hours filled with projects and exams, playing shows with LV on the weekends, and preparing for our album to come out has definitely filled me to the brim. Sometimes I miss days where I felt extreme boredom, but I find that I can push through all the stress of school and shows by thinking of the bigger picture. In that bigger picture, I realized I should not have taken Introduction to Computer Programming because I think it might be my downfall…
Anyway, onto some snippets of my life! All of these were shot on a Pentax k1000 (thank you eBay). I really love capturing little moments here and there and am constantly inspired by people and particularly, my friends. There are so many beautiful things that happen when you are with someone and they are usually forgotten… a certain gaze, sharing some food, or even stillness. I love documenting people and how they interact with each other and their environment.
If anything, I hope when people see my photos, they feel something. If it causes you to feel or think, it’s done it’s job.

Maggie and I are enjoying a nice morning – Georgia doesn’t start getting significantly cold until November, but if you’re lucky, the October mornings will go down to 60. The white mug is from my favorite Atlanta ceramicist, Rose Grown. My bandmate Matteo works for her. My dear friend Wallace baked us some apple snap cookies and they are amazing with pumpkin coffee!!
I adopted a 7 year old cat in June and he has quickly become one of my best friends and biggest muse. I named him Science, full name Science Breakfast, but sometimes I call him Little Bird, Stinky, or Mr. Fat. He is the cuddliest and most beautiful thing I have ever seen and I hope he never dies. Getting a cat has weirdly improved my mental health, probably because I have someone else to take care of and in the worst case, I would feel so bad if he was left without a mother, you know?
My messy desk! I told myself I would not clean for this photo – I wanted to get the full, raw view of where I spend most of my time. My walls are filled with my friends’ art, little things and phrases I’m thinking about, empty cigarette boxes, and almost anything else I want to look at. Yes I have an Alexa. It was a gift from my grandmother and it doubles as a speaker and clock.
Went on a little road trip up to Athens, GA for the weekend to stay with our friend and see (and meet!) our new friend John Andrews. He animated a music video for us and we became friends from there.
My sweet, fantastical, beautiful, fairy-tale close friend Violet in her pink bathroom.
My sweet neighbor and friend Meredith bringing over some sweets.
My dear friend Wallace showing us his work space.
Connor recording drums in Violet’s eclectic house.
Maggie pondering something in Violet’s house.
Pure love, baby!
Yours truly 😀
I think we were talking about each other’s latest dreams. Maggie remembers almost all of hers, Wallace remembers none. I am somewhere in the middle. There was also a soccer scrimmage in front of us and an intense tennis match behind us.
